Clones!!!!!!!!!

Japenese scientists have made clones of mice that have been dead for 16 years and frozen. Scientists have only been able to use cells from live animals until now.Researchers thought frozen cells wouldn't work beacause ice crystals would affect the dna.Now researched have figured out that that what scientists thought wasnt possible would be possible.Because of this scientist are able to clone mice. This is the first time frozen dna has been able to make a clone.

Math Is...

I think math is challenging. Math is challenging because of algebraic expressions and many other things in math. For example the math algebra drives me crazy sometimes, but it is also sometimes fun. I LIKE MATH

how do you find oil

It is extremely challenging to find oil. the people who dig up oil have only a 30% chance of striking it. Today in red class we did an experiment to see if we could find oil. Mrs. N taught us what we need to look for before we dig. Our group did a poor job of that because we didn't get any oil and our company went bankrupt. Today humans are running out of oil and oil is a nonrenewable resource. That means if we run out of we don't get anymore. It takes millions of years for oil to form.

Pollution

The red class discovered how bad pollution was. Mrs R taught us how pollution got moved from lake to lake and eventually to the ocean. A couple of days ago we did an experiment by moving water from lakes to rivers and then to oceans. We did this so we could learn about pollution. We also learned that if there weren't humans the pollution would greatly decrease.

Science extra credit

Jerry Bradford

Flimsy like a lace paper window pane
Rattled in a heavy wind blown rain
The rain
The rain came quickly down
And the shutters leaked as they tried in vain
To curb the pelting sound
The rain the rain falls wet and cold
And weakens the hillside ground
Which then gives way and
Tumults over the wall which cannot hold
The rain the rain
When will it end
The rain will never cease
The rain will someday wash our weary souls I am told
The rain the rain the rain the rain

I read the poem Flimsy Like Paper Lace by Jerry Bradford. The author describes what the rain does. He talks about the rain leaking in the shutters even though they were trying to keep the rain out. He talks about heavy rain that weakens the ground and makes the ground collapse eventually. He teaches that the rain can cause floods and that makes the poem better.

The poem would not be the same without the authors mention of rain.I think the author's trying to compare the rain to our feelings. Sometimes we want to stop our emotions just like the rain in the poem. Sometimes our feelings or emotions get flooded just like the rain did to the hillside. It taught me that things can collapse from too much rain. I think this is a great poem.
