A frog as big as a bowling ball

The fossil of a frog the size of a bowling ball was found in Madagascar by paleontologist David Krause in 1993. But only recently did he find enough bones to figure out what the frog would have looked like.the frog weighed 10 ponds and was 16 inches long. This frog was alive millions of years ago when dinosaurs ruled the earth. Scientists say this frog is a relative of the horned frog.

brunswick acres playground fire

SOUTH BRUNSWICK: Three township teenagers face criminal mischief charges for starting a fire in a pile of leaves that spread and destroyed $80,000 worth of playground equipment at Brunswick Acres School on Kory Road, police said.
The teenagers, whose names and ages were not released, are accused of piling leaves near the playground and starting the fire Saturday night, Detective James Ryan said. They apparently thought the fire was extinguished before leaving the area, he said
But the fire rekindled and burned the 40- by 40-foot playground, he said. The blaze was discovered shortly after 9 p.m., Ryan said. Firefighters put out the blaze within 10 minutes, and the juveniles came back to the scene from their nearby homes after hearing the firetrucks, Ryan said.
"All three were extremely remorseful. All the families have been extremely cooperative," Ryan said. "Investigators believe there was no intention for the extent of damage that was caused."
